Ben Magara is the Chief Executive Officer for Anglo Coal South Africa.    He graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a B.Sc.(Eng) Honours degree in Mining Engineering in 1990 and has had various management studies from European and African Business Schools.  Ben is an Executive Director of Anglo American South Africa and Anglo Operations Limited.   He is also a board member of Richards Bay Coal Terminal, Anglo Coal Marketing Limited, Anglo Zimele and Mafube Coal Mining Limited.

He is a keen golfer, squash player and enjoys Formula One Racing. He is married to Coco and they have two boys.
